Mondovì hosts 14th Italian Bocce Quadre Championship with community festivities

The 14th Italian Bocce Quadre Championship will take place in Mondovì's Piazza Maggiore on Saturday, August 1 and Sunday, August 2, 2026. The weekend kicks off on Friday, July 31, with the free‑entry talk‑show‑spectacle "ParalleleBipedi a Confronto" hosted by comedian Dario Vergassola. Guests include Maddalena Corvaglia, former goalkeeper Stefano Tacconi, singer Johnson Righeira, comedian Francesco Tesei, Padre Filip, drag‑queen group Cricca delle Drag Queen and comedian Enrique Balbontin.

Throughout the event, the Associazione Bocce Quadre promotes sustainability by partnering with EcoBike; generators powered by pedal‑bikes will supply electricity for the stage. International BMX freestyle champion Alessandro Barbero will also appear. The championship features music performances, a comedy set, a prize‑giving ceremony, and a ceramic exhibition "Cubiqa in Ceramiqa" at the Museum of Ceramics, open until August 17.

Organisers expect thousands of visitors to gather for games, entertainment and the celebration of local culture and environmental awareness.
