Monero hits record high despite major exchange delistings
Monero (XMR) has reached a record price of approximately $797.73, demonstrating resilience despite a significant wave of delistings from major centralized exchanges. Platforms such as Binance and OKX removed XMR spot trading pairs in 2024, citing regulatory requirements, while Kraken halted trading and deposits for customers in the European Economic Area due to changing regulations.
Despite reduced access on regulated centralized venues, Monero liquidity has shifted toward decentralized alternatives. Wagyu.xyz reported that more than $700 million in Monero transaction volume has been routed through Hyperliquid’s onchain orderbook since January 2026. This movement suggests that end-user demand for the privacy-focused asset remains high even as traditional distribution channels contract.
