Moneta Money Bank introduces 5,000 CZK withdrawals via ATMs

Moneta Money Bank has introduced the ability to withdraw 5,000 CZK banknotes from its ATMs, making it the first bank in the Czech market to offer this high-value denomination through automated machines. Currently, this service is available at 26 Moneta ATMs, including locations in regional cities and towns such as Chomutov, Mělník, and Rumburk.

While Moneta operates within a shared network with Komerční banka, Air Bank, and UniCredit Bank, customers of these other banks may encounter fees when using the service. Other major Czech banks, including Air Bank and Česká spořitelna, have stated they have no immediate plans to introduce 5,000 CZK withdrawals, citing a lack of customer demand and research suggesting a preference for lower denominations.

Komerční banka is currently conducting technical and interest analyses to determine if it will follow suit and implement similar high-value banknote dispensing in the future.
