Moneta Money Bank receives 'Reduce' rating from Erste analysts
Erste analysts have updated their valuation for Moneta Money Bank, maintaining a 'Reduce' recommendation. While the 12-month target price was raised from 125 CZK to 170 CZK due to higher projected profits and improved sustainability of profitability, analysts believe these positive factors are already fully priced into the stock.
Moneta remains one of the most expensive banks within the Central and Eastern European peer group analyzed by Erste, trading at 2.9x P/BV. Although an estimated Return on Equity (ROE) of approximately 22% justifies a premium, Erste’s analysis suggests a fair P/BV multiple is closer to 2.6x, making the current valuation difficult to defend.
Despite the rating, analysts increased their 2026 net profit forecast by approximately 14% to 7.0 billion CZK, driven by higher net interest income, better net interest margins, faster loan growth, and increased fee income. For the upcoming Q3 2026 results, expected on October 23, analysts anticipate a solid quarter with a reported net profit of 1.94 billion CZK.
