Money Forward ME integrates with ChatGPT for AI financial analysis

Money Forward Home has announced that its household account and asset management service, Money Forward ME, is now compatible with ‘Apps in ChatGPT’. This integration allows users to analyze their financial data through conversational AI.

With user permission, ChatGPT can access transaction information, household budget data, and asset/liability details linked to Money Forward ME, including bank accounts, credit cards, securities accounts, pensions, and electronic money. Users can ask specific questions such as why certain expenditures have increased, identify items for potential cost reduction, or analyze the ratio of cash to investment assets.

The service is designed for information and planning support and does not provide formal financial or investment advice. For security, financial institution authentication credentials are not shared with ChatGPT, and the AI cannot execute financial transactions, such as buying/selling products, making transfers, or withdrawing funds. Users can disconnect the service at any time.
