Monfalcone to host 12th Festival della Danza in September

The 12th edition of the Festival della Danza is scheduled to take place in Monfalcone from September 18 to 20, 2026. The event is expected to draw over 800 dancers, including schools and companies from Italy, Slovenia, Austria, and Switzerland.

Activities will be spread across various urban spaces, including squares and gyms, featuring performances, masterclasses, and choreographies. The festival includes a 'Villaggio della Danza' (Dance Village) hosting industry exhibitors and academies. New additions for this edition include a dedicated pole dance space and the DancinGlobe app for booking lessons.

A preview event will be held on September 17 at Porticciolo Nazario Sauro as part of the Jazzinsieme music series, which is part of the 'Pordenone – Verso Capitale Italiana della Cultura 2027' initiative. The official festival opening will feature a 'Flash Village Dance' with more than 100 dancers in Piazza della Repubblica on Friday, September 18.
