Monflanquin Baroque Music Festival Concludes with Final Concert

The 25th edition of the Baroque Music Festival in Monflanquin, Lot-et‑Garonne, reaches its climax on Friday, 31 July 2026 with a final concert titled “Splendeurs baroques” in the town’s historic church. The program honors Johann Sebastian Bach, featuring performances by specialist ensembles such as the Saqueboutiers de Toulouse, who also presented a workshop on historic wind instruments.

Since its founding in the late 1990s, the festival has become a staple of the Nouvelle‑Aquitaine cultural calendar, supported by local authorities, volunteers and regional partners. Concerts are staged in venues ranging from the courtyard of Roquefère Castle to the Temple‑sur‑Lot, integrating the region’s medieval architecture with baroque repertoire and offering educational outreach for audiences of all ages.
