Monforte hosts Terras sem Sombra Festival featuring flamenco and heritage tours

The Terras sem Sombra Festival in Monforte features a diverse program spanning cultural heritage, music, and biodiversity. Key musical highlights include the performance ‘Rediscovering Spain: Glosas, Fantasias e Diferenças (Viagem às Raízes do Flamenco)’ by the Spanish ensemble Accademia del Piacere and dancer Ana Morales at the Igreja do Espírito Santo.

The festival also includes a cultural tour of local churches and chapels, as well as a nature-focused event regarding the steppe bird routes in Alentejo.

Separately, the Ponte da Barca Music Academy recently conducted a cultural and musical trip to Paris, France. The delegation, which included students, teachers, and local officials, performed for the Portuguese community and visited landmarks such as the Eiffel Tower and the Palace of Versailles.
