Mong Kok building attack injures Chinese tourist

Early on 29 May, a 35‑year‑old Chinese tourist (surname Chen) was attacked in the Jiansheng Building on Ajie Lao Street in Hong Kong’s Mong Kok district. After knocking on a door on the fourth or fifth floor, he was confronted by a transgender woman known locally as “Feng Jie”. A dispute over payment escalated and Feng Jie used a sharp weapon to slash the tourist’s neck, causing a three‑centimetre wound. The victim escaped down the stairs, leaving a trail of blood, and was rescued by passers‑by who called the police. He was taken to a hospital in a conscious state.

Police sealed off the building, searched the scene and later detained three Thai women who were believed to be translators for the investigation. The alleged assailant was not located at the time, and the case was recorded as a “serious injury” offence.
