Mongaguá police arrest fugitive wanted for drug trafficking

A man wanted by the justice system was apprehended by the Military Police in Mongaguá, Brazil, during a preventive patrol in the Balneário Flórida Mirim neighborhood. The individual attempted to evade officers by walking away quickly after noticing a patrol vehicle, which raised suspicion.

Upon investigation, authorities discovered the man had an active conviction for drug trafficking. He had failed to return to prison following a temporary release program in September 2023. He was taken to the Mongaguá Police District and remains in custody awaiting judicial proceedings.
