Mongaguá police arrest suspected PCC financial operative

A 40-year-old man was arrested in Mongaguá, on the coast of São Paulo, suspected of managing the financial sector for the criminal organization Primeiro Comando da Capital (PCC).

During a search and seizure operation in the Jardim Aguapeú neighborhood, the Civil Police of Itanhaém seized two notebooks, four cell phones, a tablet, and a scooter. Preliminary analysis of a seized computer revealed spreadsheets documenting financial transactions exceeding R$ 2 million.

Investigators believe the suspect managed money flows for the faction across the North and East zones of São Paulo, as well as the municipalities of Guarulhos and Taubaté. The arrest was made in flagrante for crimes related to promoting, constituting, financing, or integrating a criminal organization.
