Mongo-Mpoukou officials inspect erosion and flood risks
The Fondation pro social inter-Etats (FPSI) and the administration of Mongo-Mpoukou District 5 have conducted a technical inspection to address severe road erosion and flooding risks. Led by District 5 Administrator-Mayor Meslaye Pineau Kiazabou and FPSI Resident Representative Orcel Bayonga-Mbondza, the delegation surveyed critical areas to prioritize infrastructure repairs and drainage works before the upcoming rainy season.
The inspection focused on three primary neighborhoods: Tchiali, Siafoumou, and Makayabu 48. In Tchiali, officials examined several streets, including Rue du transformateur E²C, Rue de la Maison Canal+, Rue Jean-Marie, and Rue du Docteur Lisaka, as well as the bridge connecting Tchiali to Siafoumou.
In Makayabu 48, the assessment covered sections between École Louis-Gregory and École primaire Kouanga Makosso, including Avenue Antoinette-Sassou-N’Guesso. The initiative aims to map high-risk zones, identify priority road segments for rapid intervention, and establish sustainable solutions for urban water management to protect local residences.
