MongoDB AMP and Datafold Highlight Data Engineering Tools in Podcasts

In a recent episode of the Data Engineering Podcast, Shilpa Kolhar, senior vice president of product and engineering at MongoDB, explained how the company's Application Modernization Platform (AMP) helps organizations move from legacy relational databases to a document‑first architecture that is ready for AI workloads. She described features such as MongoDB's native JSON document model, Atlas Vector Search, auto‑embeddings and integrated search, and offered best‑practice guidance on schema validation, versioning, aggregation pipelines and balancing LLM‑driven automation with human oversight.

Another episode featured Gleb Mezhanskiy, founder and chief executive of Datafold, who discussed the complexities of reconciling data across different database engines. He outlined common error conditions that arise when source and destination systems use different SQL dialects and presented validation techniques and tooling to ensure data accuracy throughout modern data pipelines.
