Mongolia Offers 8,000 Jobs to Jakarta Residents
The government of Mongolia has announced approximately 8,000 job vacancies for residents of Indonesia’s DKI Jakarta. The opportunity was disclosed at the Jakarta Timur Career Fest and Bazaar 2026, where Taufik, head of the Placement Division at the Jakarta Provincial Labour, Transmigration and Energy Office, said, "Now Mongolia has opened opportunity for DKI Jakarta residents to work in Mongolia, about 8,000 jobs."
Most of the positions are in the hospitality sector, with salaries ranging from US$500 to US$900 per month. Recruitment cannot begin immediately; the Jakarta office is awaiting a recruitment permit from Indonesia’s Ministry of Migrant Worker Protection (KP2MI), with placements expected to start in September. The scheme is presented as an alternative for job seekers amid a challenging local labour market, provided candidates meet the required skills and language competencies.
