Monica Bellucci discusses aging and self-perception
During an appearance on the TF1 program ‘Sept à Huit’, actress Monica Bellucci discussed her perspective on aging and physical changes at age 61. The Franco-Italian actress expressed a philosophy of gratitude regarding the passage of time, stating, “one either ages or dies. And I prefer to think of aging. Because I want to see my children grow up.”
Bellucci noted the importance of finding a compromise with the passage of time and making peace with a changing physique. She emphasized that as she has reached a certain age, her own self-respect and perspective on life have become more significant than the opinions of others. She also described her beauty as a professional tool or a ‘mask’ used in her career, rather than her entire identity.
