Monica Commisso wins Festival della Canzone Friulana

Monica Commisso, performing under the name Momi, won the 2026 Festival della Canzone Friulana with her song ‘Mari mê’. The event marked the return of the festival after a six-year hiatus.

The final was held at the Teatro Palamostre in Udine, which served as an alternative venue due to bad weather that prevented the original outdoor plan at Piazza Libertà. The evening featured fifteen songs accompanied by an orchestra directed by Rudy Fantin.

Other award recipients included Alberto Corredig, Alvise Nodale, and Francesco Imbriaco for second place with ‘Cjatâsi pierdût’, and Michela Franceschina for third place with ‘Nine nane’. Mattia Mestroni, president of Armonie Aps, expressed satisfaction with the high quality of the performances and the strong public response to the festival's revival.
