Moniepoint MFB receives SME Microfinance Bank of the Year award

Moniepoint Microfinance Bank (MFB) has been named the SME Microfinance Bank of the Year for the third consecutive year at the 14th BusinessDay Banks and Other Financial Institutions (BAFI) Awards.

In 2025, the bank disbursed over N1 trillion in credit to thousands of small businesses. According to the company’s Year in Review, businesses that accessed this credit saw an average transaction value growth of more than 36 per cent. Moniepoint utilizes alternative data, such as transaction histories and payment behavior, to determine creditworthiness.

Moniepoint Co-founder and Group CEO Tosin Eniolorunda also received the SME Finance Transformation Leader of the Year Award. The bank reported serving more than six million active businesses and processing N412 trillion in transaction value across more than 14 billion transactions during the year.
