Monmouthshire Building Society reports £3.7m profit and CEO transition

Monmouthshire Building Society has reported its financial results for the 2025/26 period, maintaining a post-tax profit of £3.7 million. The Newport-based institution saw its total assets rise slightly to £1.73 billion, up from £1.72 billion the previous year. Underlying profit before tax was recorded at £6.6 million.

The Society’s mortgage book reached £1.36 billion, while total savings balances stood at £1.39 billion. Customer satisfaction remained stable at 88%. During the year, the organization made strategic investments in new core systems and donated £53,000 to 51 local charities and community initiatives across South Wales.

In leadership news, the Society announced that Will Carroll has departed his role as CEO following a 22-year tenure. Dawn Gunter has been appointed as interim CEO while the search for a permanent successor continues.
