Monocle launches summer newspaper and hosts Quality of Life Conference in Lisbon

Monocle is hosting the 10th edition of its Quality of Life Conference in Lisbon from Thursday 3 September to Saturday 5 September. The three‑day urban retreat combines talks, lunches, dinners and cultural outings, inviting readers, editors and speakers to explore the city’s architecture, galleries and ateliers.

At the same time the publisher is releasing a new summer newspaper titled “Med, Mountains & More”. The glossy supplement, on sale at newsstands from Thursday, features travel and lifestyle stories such as reports from Syria’s beach clubs, a look at Sardinia’s hidden side, a review of the new Mandarin Oriental resort in Mallorca and a piece on Austria’s military donkey.

The event is open to individuals who register to attend, and Monocle hopes the combination of conference programming and the new print product will offer fresh perspectives on business, cities and everyday life.
