Monopoli football club cleared to return to Veneziani stadium

Lega Pro has officially approved Monopoli's return to the Vito Simone Veneziani stadium for all national competitions during the 2026/27 season. The decision follows a review by the Commission for Infrastructural, Sporting, and Organizational Criteria, which confirmed the facility meets the requirements for Serie C official matches.

Previously, the club had been playing at San Nicola in Bari under a special derogation. The return to their home ground is scheduled to begin on Sunday, October 25, for a match against Audace Cerignola. The move is expected to provide a competitive advantage by allowing the team to play in a familiar environment with direct support from local fans.
