Vietnamese singer MONO released his debut studio album "22" on 18 August 2022, opting to launch an 11‑track project rather than the usual single‑by‑single approach. The album’s lead single, "Waiting For You," was co‑produced with longtime collaborator Onionn and blended city‑pop and modern R‑B elements.

The track quickly went viral on TikTok and Facebook Reels, with its catchy hook "Ú oà" sparking countless user videos. The online surge propelled the song to the top of national charts and, as of now, the YouTube audio has surpassed 127 million views, making it the biggest hit of MONO’s career and a landmark moment for Vpop in 2022.
