Monreale postpones electrical grid maintenance due to heatwave

The municipality of Monreale and Enel Energia have agreed to postpone all scheduled technical and maintenance work on the local electrical grid. This decision follows an agreement to prevent potential power outages during a period of extreme temperatures.

The postponement aims to ensure the continuity of essential services and the functioning of air conditioning systems, which is particularly critical for vulnerable populations and local commercial activities during the heatwave. The maintenance work, which includes the replacement of 60 lighting units damaged by an overvoltage incident at the via Pezzingoli substation, will be rescheduled for a later date when weather conditions are less critical.
