Monroe's Eurovision 2026 performance places France 15th in Austrian final

Seventeen‑year‑old Franco‑American singer Monroe represented France at the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 held in Austria. Her entry, the pop‑opera track "Regarde!", blended classical arias with musical‑theatre flair and was promoted with a Versailles‑shot music video. Monroe, the youngest act ever to represent France, performed on the Saturday night final and finished in 15th place.

Monroe described the contest as "fun" and said she and her team had undertaken extensive rehearsals, interviews and social‑media promotion in the weeks leading up to the show. Born in the United States and trained as a classical vocalist, she cited influences ranging from Cecilia Barboti to Whitney Houston. Despite being a favorite among betting odds, the French entry did not break the country's long‑running streak without a win since 1977.
