Monrovia Consolidated School System delays reopening to October

The Monrovia Consolidated School System (MCSS) has announced that its schools will reopen in October rather than September. Superintendent Augurie E. Stevens stated the delay is due to scheduled renovation works intended to prepare facilities for the new academic year, explicitly denying that the postponement is related to a teacher work slowdown.

Regarding the fee structure, MCSS confirmed that students from early childhood through sixth grade will receive free basic education with no tuition or registration fees, adhering to Ministry of Education mandates. For higher levels, junior high school students are expected to pay 3,000Ld, while senior high school students will pay 3,250Ld for the academic year. Stevens assured parents that no additional charges would be assessed for junior high school students beyond the stated fees.
