Mons. Gian Franco Saba delivers peace message at La Maddalena Mass

Mons. Gian Franco Saba, the Military Ordinary for Italy, delivered a spiritual message focused on peace and service during an Assumption Day Mass held in La Maddalena. The ceremony was attended by high-ranking officials, including the Chief of Staff of the Italian Navy, Admiral Giuseppe Berutti Bergotto, as well as representatives from the Carabinieri, Guardia di Finanza, and local maritime authorities.

During his reflection, Mons. Saba emphasized the importance of listening as a means to achieve lasting peace and to look beyond immediate circumstances. He specifically addressed Italian military personnel deployed in international operational theaters and remote locations, offering prayers to ensure they do not feel isolated in their service to the common good. He also highlighted the role of the local Navy Non-Commissioned Officers School and the historical connection between the island of La Maddalena and the Italian Armed Forces.
