Monsieur Periné announces indefinite hiatus after 20 years
Colombian musical group Monsieur Periné has announced an indefinite hiatus after nearly 20 years of career. Founders and leaders Catalina García and Santiago Prieto shared the decision via social media, describing it as ‘the most difficult decision’ they have ever made.
The group stated they need individual space for personal and creative growth, though they left open the possibility of reconnecting in the future. The announcement follows the recent release of their album ‘Instrucciones para ser feliz’, which earned a Latin Grammy nomination.
To conclude this chapter, the band will complete their current tour with eight final performances scheduled across the United States, Mexico, Colombia, Venezuela, and Puerto Rico. The farewell tour includes dates in New Orleans, Orlando, Miami, Mexico City, Bogotá, Caracas, and Puerto Rico.
