Monsignor Francesco Savino concludes Cassano diocesan assembly

Monsignor Francesco Savino concluded the ecclesial assembly of the Diocese of Cassano, which focused on the theme of being formed by liturgy. During his closing remarks, Savino emphasized that the future of the Church depends on the community's willingness to be continuously formed by the Lord rather than just the number of organized initiatives.

Savino urged the faithful to reflect on whether the Eucharist is making their communities more fraternal and if the Word of God is changing how they speak and judge. He noted that the liturgy teaches patience and provides an opportunity to start anew each Sunday. He also referenced teachings from Pope Leo XIV regarding the mystery of the Eucharist, calling on the Church to let the mystery transform them and shape their communities into spaces of brotherhood, forgiveness, and responsibility.
