Monsoon activity weakens across Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh

Weather patterns are shifting across northern India as monsoon activity begins to weaken. In Rajasthan, sudden rainfall provided relief from heat and humidity in Alwar, though heavy rain warnings led to the closure of all government and private schools in the Jhalawar district as a precautionary measure.

The meteorological department forecasts that monsoon activity in Rajasthan will remain weak over the coming week, with most areas expected to remain dry.

Similarly, in Uttar Pradesh, the recent period of heavy rain is subsiding. While some districts in the Purvanchal region, including Varanasi, Prayagraj, and Gorakhpur, may experience light showers or thunderstorms, much of the state is expected to remain dry. As rainfall decreases, temperatures in Uttar Pradesh are projected to rise by approximately 2 to 3 degrees Celsius over the next few days, potentially increasing heat and humidity levels. A resurgence in rainfall activity is anticipated in the state between September 11 and September 14.
