Monsoon rain forecasted for Bengaluru and West Bengal

Heavy rainfall and cloudy skies are forecasted across several Indian regions due to active monsoon systems.

In Bengaluru, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicts light to moderate rain and thundershowers. Temperatures are expected to range between 21 and 30 degrees Celsius. Residents are warned of potential waterlogging in low-lying areas and traffic delays, particularly during evening rush hours.

In West Bengal, the Alipore Met Department reports that a weather system over the Bay of Bengal is driving rain across South and North Bengal. Kolkata and surrounding districts are expected to experience cloudy skies with spells of rain and thunderstorms. The meteorological office has advised the public to avoid open spaces, electric poles, and trees during gusty winds and storms.
