Monster Strike tops App Store rankings following Re:Zero collaboration

MIXI’s mobile RPG Monster Strike reached the top of the App Store sales rankings in the games category on September 28. The surge in revenue follows the launch of its second collaboration event with the TV anime Re:Zero − Starting Life in Another World, which began on September 27.

The collaboration features new limited-time characters such as Subaru & Emilia, Ram & Rem, and Reinhard in the gacha system. It also introduces new quests and allows players to upgrade existing characters from the first collaboration.

Other notable movements in the App Store rankings include GungHo Online Entertainment’s Puzzle & Dragons, which rose to 5th place following an Idolmaster Cinderella Girls collaboration, and Applibot’s Chiikawa Pocket, which returned to the top 10 during its 1.5-anniversary celebrations.
