Monsterrando 2026 gravel race concludes in Monferrato

The Monsterrando 2026 gravel cycling race took place in the Monferrato region, centered in Fubine Monferrato. The 126-kilometer course traversed the hills and vineyards of the Alessandria and Asti provinces. Danish rider Andreas Søkkbro Nielsene and Italian rider Debora Piana emerged as the winners of the event.

Organizer Gianni Pederzolli noted the evolution of gravel cycling from an alternative discipline to a recognized competitive specialty. The event aims to promote slow tourism and the local landscape through international sporting competition.

In separate regional cycling news, Scd Alma Juventus Fano athletes competed in various Italian races. In the 44th Trofeo Sirio Castellucci, Allievi riders Filippo Beltrami and Gabriele Gorini achieved notable performances, while Kevin Piccioli secured a 14th-place finish. Meanwhile, Esordienti riders participated in the 25th Trofeo Sagra della Patata Rossa in Umbria, where Mattia Gervasoni won the first-year category and Diego Della Polla won the second-year category.
