Montalto di Castro to transform Villa Ilvana into health hub
The Mayor of Montalto di Castro, Emanuela Socciarelli, has unveiled a project to transform Villa Ilvana into a comprehensive health and community hub. The initiative aims to strengthen healthcare and welfare services for the citizens of Montalto di Castro and Pescia Romana.
After more than twenty years of partial closure and legal and economic difficulties, the administration has regained control of the entire structure. The ground floor will be repurposed to host new medical services, including basic radiology, specialized outpatient clinics, and services for sports and occupational medicine. These will complement existing ASL services such as general practitioners and blood collection centers.
On the upper floors, the project includes a new tender for the management of the nursing home to ensure 24-hour assistance. Additionally, a new Day Center for the elderly will be introduced to support fragile residents.
