Montana mass shooting victims identified after eight family members killed

Obituaries have been released for the eight family members killed during a mass shooting near Billings, Montana, on August 23. The victims include Evelyn Smith, 92; her son Dana Smith, 73; Dana’s wife Barbara Smith, 72; granddaughter Megan Ireland-Ghekiere, 39; Landon Ghekiere, 15; Owen Ireland, 13; Charlotte Ghekiere, 12; and Chloe Ireland, 7.

Family tributes highlighted the bravery of the younger victims. Charlotte Ghekiere, 12, was noted for making a 911 call during the incident that likely assisted first responders.
