Montceau-les-Mines and Zory to celebrate 20 years of twinning

The Montceau-Zory twinning committee has announced upcoming festivities to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the partnership between the French town of Montceau-les-Mines and the Polish town of Zory. The twinning agreement, established on September 23, 2006, connects two cities with shared industrial and mining histories.

To mark the milestone, celebrations are scheduled for October 3 and 4, 2026. The program includes a Polish products market featuring traditional specialties such as meats, soups, and crafts, as well as an exhibition of works by Polish artist Tomasz Rogalski, running from October 3 to 16, 2026.

Over the past two decades, the partnership has included various cultural exchanges, youth meetings, and symbolic gift exchanges, such as the inauguration of landmarks in both cities.
