Pabst Blue Ribbon beer stolen from California warehouse

Thieves stole approximately $70,000 worth of beer from an Anheuser-Busch distribution center in Montclair, California, on August 17. The theft involved two separate incidents occurring within an hour of each other.

In the first incident, a shipment valued at $45,000 destined for Tucson, Arizona, was picked up but never delivered. Shortly after, a purported subcontracting company used fraudulent documentation to pick up a second shipment worth $25,000. The stolen inventory included roughly 34,000 cans of Pabst Blue Ribbon and Old Milwaukee non-alcoholic beer, totaling about 40,000 pounds of product.

Pabst Brewing Company has responded to the theft via social media with a humorous tone, addressing the thieves directly and offering a reward for the return of the cargo. The company set a countdown for the return of the beer, referencing its founding year of 1844. Montclair police are investigating whether the two thefts were part of a single, organized cargo-theft operation.
