Monte Berico marks 600th anniversary of Virgin Mary apparitions

Patriarch of Venice Francesco Moraglia delivered a homily in Vicenza to mark the 600th anniversary of the apparitions of the Virgin Mary at Monte Berico. The event commemorates the historical significance of the site, which is linked to the figure of Vincenza Pasini, a local peasant woman.

During the service, Moraglia described Monte Berico as a spiritual source for the local Church and community, serving as a place for prayer, reconciliation, and connection with the divine across generations. He emphasized that the sacred serves to unite people with God and one another, rather than acting as a means of separation from history or society.
