Global culinary events and charity dinners announced

Various international culinary events and initiatives are scheduled for late 2025 and 2026. In Spain, the 74th San Sebastián International Film Festival will feature the ‘Culinary Zinema’ section, pairing five films with themed dinners. This includes a documentary on the restaurant Noor, which explores the culinary heritage of Al-Ándalus, and an exclusive experience with Japanese chef Yasuhiko Mitani.

In the Dominican Republic, UNICEF will host the sixth edition of ‘A Taste of Hope’ on October 7-8, 2026. Led by chefs Thomas Troisgros and Saverio Stassi, the charity event aims to raise funds for programs supporting vulnerable children, including maternal health and education.

Other regional food events include the Festival de la Milanesa in Monte Caseros, Argentina, set for October 17, and Expo Gourmet 2026 in Lima, Peru, which will showcase over 80 brands. Additionally, chef Lisandro Ciarlotti from Mar del Plata will represent Argentine gastronomy at events in Paris and Vigo, focusing on Patagonian prawns.
