Monte Cavallo inaugurates new municipal headquarters after seismic reconstruction
Monte Cavallo has inaugurated its new municipal headquarters, marking a significant milestone in the reconstruction efforts following the seismic events that struck Central Italy a decade ago. The project, funded with over 2.3 million euros, involved a comprehensive renovation of the municipal complex.
The intervention addressed two distinct structures. The historical portion, dating back to the late 19th century, underwent seismic strengthening, including work on the roof, perimeter beams, and wall and floor consolidation. The more recent section of the complex was demolished and entirely rebuilt. The new design emphasizes accessibility, featuring an internal ramp and a staircase equipped with a lift to ensure all levels are reachable.
The new facility is designed to serve as a modern hub for the community, housing administrative offices alongside spaces for essential services and social activities.
