Monte Erice announces candidates for Salvatore Morselli Award

The Automobile Club Trapani has announced the four candidates for the second edition of the Salvatore Morselli Award, held during the 68th Monte Erice hill climb race. The award honors the memory of journalist Salvatore Morselli, who passed away in 2023.

Franco Cammarasana of La Gazzetta dello Sport, serving as jury president, selected the candidates: Francesca Aiuto, Vincenzo Garraffa, Andrea Raiti, and Totò Riolo. The winner will be determined by specialized journalists through an online vote, which must be completed by August 31. The award ceremony is scheduled for September 3.

The Monte Erice event serves as a key fixture in the national motorsport calendar, qualifying for both the Italian Mountain Speed Championship (CIVM) and the Italian Historic Car Hill Climb Championship (CIVSA). The racing weekend will feature technical inspections in Trapani on September 4, followed by time trials on September 5 and the main races on September 6 along the route from Valderice to Erice.
