Monte Erice prepares for 68th hillclimb race

Preparations are underway for the 68th edition of the Monte Erice hillclimb, scheduled to take place from Friday, September 4, to Sunday, September 6. The event is a valid competition for the Italian Historic Car Speed Championship (CIVSA), the Italian Mountain Speed Championship (CIVM), and the Italian Classic Car Speed Championship (CIVSAC).

Safety measures, including the placement of hay bales along the track, are being implemented gradually to allow for continued daily traffic until the race begins. Local officials note that the event serves as a significant economic driver for the Trapani and Erice regions, attracting drivers, teams, and enthusiasts from across Italy and boosting tourism in surrounding areas such as San Vito lo Capo and Gibellina.
