Monte Grande triple homicide and suicide investigation

A 50-year-old man, identified as Damián Darío Santillán, is the alleged perpetrator of a triple homicide in Monte Grande, Argentina. Santillán is accused of killing his partner, 43-year-old Laura Susana Prediger, their 11-year-old son, Santino, and his own 73-year-old mother, Susana Castillo Toscanini.

Police discovered the victims at a residence on Los Claveles street. Prediger was found in the dining area, while Santino was located in a bedroom where authorities also seized a double-barreled shotgun. The investigation extended to an adjacent house on Alfonso Amat street, where Castillo Toscanini was found dead in the kitchen.

Following the killings, Santillán fled to the nearby town of Burzaco, where he died after throwing himself under a moving truck. Investigators are analyzing a WhatsApp message Santillán reportedly sent to a relative shortly before the crimes, stating, “Me obligaron a hacer esto” (They forced me to do this). Preliminary findings suggest the motive may be linked to a suspected infidelity discovered approximately 15 days prior.
