Monte Patria hosts Coquimbo Region's School Cueca Showcase

The Coquimbo Region has selected its representatives for the 2026 National School Cueca Competition to be held in Valdivia. The selection process took place during the Regional School Cueca Showcase, which returned to Monte Patria after an 18-year hiatus.

The event was organized by the Regional Ministerial Secretariat of Education with support from the Monte Patria Municipal Education Department. Funding was provided by a Coquimbo Regional Government project awarded to the Social and Cultural Sports Club of Liceo Presidente Eduardo Frei Montalva. The gathering included students, families, and educational communities from across the region to celebrate Chilean cultural identity.
