Monte Plata Governor presents 2025 accountability report
Rafaela Javier Gomera, the civil governor of Monte Plata, presented her 2025 accountability report detailing the province's financial status, income, and management of public funds. The presentation focused on administrative transparency and the responsible use of resources.
The report highlighted various projects and actions carried out in coordination with government institutions across sectors including education, infrastructure, agriculture, culture, sports, transportation, technology, health, and social programs. Key participating entities mentioned include the ministries of Education, Public Works, Agriculture, Culture, and Sports, alongside organizations such as INEFI, INTRANT, ITLA, the Dominican Agrarian Institute (IAD), Supérate, and PROPEEP.
Javier Gomera attributed the province's progress to coordinated efforts between the Governor's office, government institutions, local authorities, and community sectors. She also noted the support of President Luis Abinader in driving development initiatives within Monte Plata. The event coincided with the 163rd anniversary of the Restoration of the Republic.
