Monte Rosa Therapeutics begins Phase 2 trial and receives stock upgrade

Monte Rosa Therapeutics has reached a clinical milestone by dosing the first patient in its MODeFIRe-1 Phase 2 trial. The study evaluates the investigational molecular glue degrader MRT-2359 in combination with apalutamide for patients with AR mutation-positive metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC). The trial aims to enroll up to 25 patients and will assess safety and various response metrics. Previous Phase 1/2 data involving enzalutamide showed a 100% disease control rate and PSA responses in five out of five AR-mutant patients.

In financial news, TD Cowen upgraded Monte Rosa Therapeutics to a ‘strong-buy’ rating. Other analysts have provided mixed outlooks; Guggenheim and Wells Fargo recently lowered their price targets, while Wedbush also decreased its target. Despite these adjustments, the company maintains a consensus ‘Moderate Buy’ rating with a target price of $28.50. The company currently holds a market capitalization of approximately $1.17 billion.
