Monte Vidon Corrado and La Maddalena host summer classical concerts

On July 19, Monte Vidon Corrado's Piazza della Vittoria will feature "Cinematic Piano," a free concert that pairs pianist‑composer Angelo Nigro with the Vertere String Quartet. The program re‑imagines film scores by Hans Zimmer, Max Richter, Jóhann Jóhannsson and others, blending piano, strings and sound‑design excerpts.

The following day, July 18, the historic church square in La Maddalena will host trumpeter Andrea Lucchi’s finale concert for his week‑long masterclass. Lucchi, a noted soloist with the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, will perform film music and jazz pieces with the Andrea Lucchi Ensemble. The event is part of the International Contrasti Festival and is free while seats last.
