Montecarlo family relocates following school bus dispute

A mother in Montecarlo has decided to move her family to the neighboring town of Porcari following a dispute over school bus services. Sara De Sanctis reported that although a request for door-to-door transport was initially accepted, the school later informed her that her child would need to walk 750 meters to a designated stop.

De Sanctis described the route as dangerous, noting it is a narrow, two-way road without sidewalks where vehicles travel at high speeds. Despite efforts to involve local officials and the mayor, the proposed solution only moved the stop by approximately 100 meters, leaving a 650-meter walk under the same hazardous conditions. Consequently, the family is relocating so the child can attend kindergarten in Porcari.
