Montedio Yamagata apologizes for dangerous fan behavior at stadium

Montedio Yamagata has issued an apology following reports of dangerous behavior and crowd congestion during the team bus arrival for their J2 League match against Vegalta Sendai at ND Soft Stadium Yamagata on October 11.

The club reported that as the bus arrived, some spectators attempting to display banners caused physical contact with other attendees and engaged in intimidating behavior toward those nearby. While no injuries have been reported, the club stated that such violence and intimidation are “absolutely unacceptable.”

Montedio Yamagata acknowledged that their own crowd management and movement controls were insufficient. The club is currently investigating the individuals involved and plans to review security protocols and area restrictions for team bus arrivals to prevent future incidents.
