Montedio Yamagata unveils special Christmas-themed winter uniforms

Montedio Yamagata has announced the release of its special winter uniform, known as ‘Fuyu-uni’, as part of the club’s ‘Christmas da Mon!’ project. The team will wear these limited-edition kits during all home matches held in November and December.

Designed by sports designer Larry Tadashi Oiwa and supplied by the brand PENALTY, the uniforms feature a Nordic pattern intended to represent the ‘SNOW PRIDE’ concept. This design aims to redefine the harsh snowy climate of Yamagata as something beautiful and powerful. A notable feature of the kits is the club emblem, which has been modified to include a Santa Claus hat.

The field players' kits are blue-based, while the goalkeeper's kit is red. The club has opened pre-orders for authentic versions of the jerseys, which are available in both short-sleeved and long-sleeved options. The announcement has generated significant positive engagement from supporters on social media.
