Montefano and Hera Luce sign public lighting upgrade contract
The Municipality of Montefano has signed a contract with Hera Luce for the energy requalification and management of 775 public lighting points. The project aims to modernize the entire municipal network, improving efficiency, safety, and public space quality.
The intervention includes replacing 376 street luminaires, 166 urban furniture fixtures, 16 projectors, 106 poles, and 43 decorative supports. Additionally, 28 electrical panels will be equipped with remote telecontrol systems to monitor consumption and system status. The project also involves installing approximately 17.6 kilometers of new underground lines and upgrading existing aerial lines.
By implementing LED technology and advanced control systems, annual energy consumption is estimated to drop from 345,272 kWh to 110,307 kWh, representing a 68% reduction. This saving is equivalent to the average annual needs of approximately 87 families and is expected to prevent the emission of about 98 tons of CO2 per year.
