Montegiorgio prepares for XXXVIII Palio dei Comuni harness racing

The San Paolo Hippodrome in Montegiorgio is preparing for the XXXVIII Palio dei Comuni, scheduled for November 29. The event, dedicated to Lanfranco Mattii, features twenty-four participating municipalities.

Representing the province of Ancona, the communities of Filottrano and Loreto are notable participants. Filottrano holds a significant historical victory from 1997 with the champion Moni Maker, while Loreto is recognized for its consistent participation and its ability to combine competitive excellence with local cultural and gastronomic promotion.

In preparation for the main event, the hippodrome is hosting themed racing days, including a Disney-themed session on October 25. These races serve as critical tests for horses, drivers, and stables to assess condition and tactics ahead of the final competition.
